    • Abstract:
      In this article, I present interviews mediated via radio, promoted through a university extension project in partnership with a local radio, in the context of the Zona da Mata Mineira Region. I report the themes of Environmental Education and Rural Education from the perspective of scientific communication and dissemination, based on the contributions of radio as an information and communication technology that contributes to the critical development of the population and enables approximations between the university and the local community. I discuss how radio interviews can contribute to (in)formation and communication practices, based on experiences as a teacher mediator in two interviews carried out during the years 2021 and 2022 on the program “Hora da UEMG” on radio station Educativa FM 96.7, within the pandemic context of social distancing and isolation. The program is linked to an extension project registered at the State University of Minas Gerais – Carangola, in which I worked as a collaborator. The experience as a mediator highlights and reaffirms the importance of radio as a (in)formation and communication device, enabling in this case dialogues on Family Agriculture and the Environment, Rural Education, and Environmental Education. I emphasize the relevance of the mediation activity in aspects of teacher training and performance, particularly in university teaching and the development of the population regarding shared knowledge and critical understanding of radio as a technology and vehicle for information and communication. ; En este artículo, presento entrevistas mediadas por radio, promovidas a través de un proyecto de extensión universitaria en colaboración con una radio local, en el contexto de la Región Zona da Mata Mineira.
