Este artigo investiga como a educação intercultural pode fomentar a reflexão sobre os problemas ambientais das queimadas na Amazônia, utilizando as toadas dos Bois-bumbás de Parintins como estratégia pedagógica. A pesquisa adota uma abordagem qualitativa e inclui a integração da educação intercultural com a educação ambiental e o ensino de química. A estratégia envolveu a apresentação de algumas toadas dos bois Caprichoso e Garantido, que enfatizam questões ambientais, para em seguida serem estabelecidas conexões com os conteúdos científicos. Os resultados dessa abordagem mostram que a utilização das toadas, que já abordaram questões ambientais em suas letras, permitiu que os estudantes estabelecessem ligações entre os problemas das queimadas e o conteúdo de química. Esse resultado reforça a importância de uma abordagem pedagógica que valorize o conhecimento tradicional e local, proporcionando uma educação que não apenas informa, mas também transforma, promovendo o pensamento crítico e a conscientização ambiental alinhando conhecimentos culturais e científicos. ; This article investigates how intercultural education can encourage reflection on the environmental problems of fires in the Amazon, using the sounds of the Boi-Bumbá de Parintins as a pedagogical tool. The research adopts a qualitative approach and includes the integration of intercultural education with environmental education and chemistry teaching. The strategy involved the presentation of some songs by Bois Caprichoso and Garantido, which emphasize environmental issues, and then connections with scientific content were established. The results of this approach show that the use of toadas, which already addressed environmental issues in their lyrics, allowed students to establish connections between the problems of fires and the chemistry content.
