The “Migrant-Friendly Maternity Care in Montreal” study population, from four hospitals in Montreal, Canada between March 2014 and June 2015.

1 227 twins and 7 sets of triplets. 2 Primary exclusion criteria determined by hospital birthing log and/or medical chart or if unable to communicate with woman (i.e., exclusion did not require administration of a questionnaire). 3 Initially exclusion was > 5 years. It was changed to ≥8 years after 5 months of recruitment to optimize the recruitment rate. 4 Women were discharged or declined to be approached or research personnel were restricted by hospital staff to approach women.
