Applications of water in agriculture ; Aplicaciones del agua en la agricultura, acciones del estado cubano

The water is a chemical substance essential for sustainable development of our communities, because of it intervene with the conservation of the ecosystems, also in different ways in the economy, including feeding activity. The key on the future action of water and the sustainable agricultural development rest on the integration of the programs and the public policy about water and land conservation; without water resources there ’ s no food production, because of this economic activity is highly dependent of water. This is an important topic that’s why our system of education in Cuba, is carrying out a theorist study of all this content, reach necessary information to enrich and acquire knowledge about the different applications of water in agriculture, the protection and care of this resource as an important component of the environment and the actions related to this topic done by the Cuban state. The text of the article is the result of the research work developed as part of the optional-elective subject with title Environmental study of water and the project of the institutional investigation "The environmental education for the sustainable development from Natural Sciences careers". ; El agua es una sustancia química imprescindible para el desarrollo sostenible de comunidades, pues interviene en la conservación de los ecosistemas y en diferentes formas de economía, incluyendo la seguridad alimentaria. La clave para la futura acción sobre el H2O y el desarrollo agrícola sostenible está en integrar los programas y las políticas sobre la conservación del H2O y de la tierra; Sin recursos hídricos no hay producción de alimentos, estos dependen de los recursos hidráulicos.
