Abstract: The study provides crucial evidence in a rarely researched sector within the Ethiopian context. By identifying the gaps that afflict the handicraft sector, the study offers solutions to mitigate these issues. It highlights that the handicraft sector encompasses a significant portion of vulnerable populations, including women and people with disabilities. The findings reveal that the sector is under-utilized and urge the government to prioritize its development to harness its economic potential. Identifying the challenges and opportunities within the sector is essential to achieve this goal. This study accomplishes this, as reflected in the abstract. By implementing the study's recommendations, the government can transform the sector into a substantial industry, incorporating a large number of youth and vulnerable groups. This not only addresses economic concerns but also ensures inclusion and equal opportunities for diverse social groups across the country.
