    • Abstract:
peer reviewed ; In the search for practices that link education (in the Freirean sense) with a critical reflection on the past in order to empower citizens in the deliberate shaping of their future, this paper aims to explore the common ground between the areas of museology and urban planning, reflecting on transnational and undisciplined intersections. After resuming the debate on trans-disciplinarity and indiscipline as a trend of academic (and non-academic) discourses emerging in various contexts and fields of knowledge, the authors explore the concept and practices of insurgencies. The authors argue that the bridge between insurgent forms of urban planning and museology can contribute to opening up new forms and trajectories of emancipation, grounded in a multifaceted consciousness of the past and an ethos of socioecological justice for the now.
