LEARNING-SERVICE, AN OPPORTUNITY TO ADVANCE IN EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY OF THE COUNTRY BASQUE ; El aprendizaje-servicio, una oportunidad para avanzar en la innovación educativa dentro de la Universidad del País Vasco.

This work’s main objective is to present the experiences carried out by four teachers at The University of the Basque country in order to incorporate the service learning method in three different scopes: teachers’ innovation, higher education teachers training, and research. Understanding this method could be an opportunity to put together some of the changes the University will have to implement in order to face its current challenges. Being this method so recently discovered, it is briefly explained and its key components and the potentialities that could bring to Higher Education are described. Besides, the experiences in the three previously mentioned scopes are outlined. ; El trabajo que se presenta en este artículo tiene como objetivo dar a conocer las experiencias realizadas por cuatro docentes de la UPV/EHU, para incorporar la metodología de Aprendizaje Servicio en tres ámbitos: innovación docente, formación del profesorado universitario e investigación. Por entender que dicha metodología puede ser una oportunidad para articular algunos de los cambios que la universidad ha de realizar para responder a los retos que actualmente tiene planteados. Dada la novedad de esta metodología se explica brevemente en qué consiste y qué potencialidades tiene el aprendizaje-servicio en la educación superior. Y a continuación se expone en que han consistido las experiencias realizadas en cada uno de los ámbitos señalados.
