Abstract: This paper proposes an in-depth analysis of the manuscript tradition of the ancient vernacular translations of Angelo Clareno’s “Chronicae”. After providing a description and a study of the ms Bertoliano 45, the relationships among some of the codices of the most successful and earliest translation, called A, are investigated. In particular, the text of ms P (Pisa, BLLM, Malagoli 1) is examined to verify if the codex contains the same version A.
