The Haitian historiography of the Haitian revolution, succeeding European historiography, gives rise to the construction of a kind of "national raman", designed "by the top". The history of the Revolution of Santo Domingo, it is therefore a "filtering work", shaped to serve as a vector of entertainment and escape in order to distract ourselves from the essential and rocking easy minds. It is therefore a bourgeois historiography that makes us a mythical portrait of the Haitian nation, founded on the exclusion of the masses. But what about the materialistic approach of the history of the Haitian revolution ? What is the role of subordinates in this story ? How to reinterpret Haiti's story so that it finally appears the desire to give the masses the right to see their own story tell ? ; L'historiographie haïtienne de la révolution haïtienne, succédant à l'historiographie européenne, donne lieu à la construction d'une sorte de "raman national", conçu "par en haut". L'histoire de la révolution de Saint-Domingue, c'est donc un "travail de filtrage", façonné pour servir de vecteur de divertissement et d'évasion afin de nous détourner de l'essentiel et de bercer les esprits faciles. C'est donc une historiographie bourgeoise qui nous fait un portrait mythique de la nation haïtienne, fondée sur l'exclusion des masses. Mais qu'en est-il de l'approche matérialiste de l'histoire de la révolution haïtienne ? Quel est le rôle des subalternes dans cette histoire ? Comment réinterpréter l'histoire d'Haïti pour qu'elle laisse enfin apparaître le désir de donner aux masses le droit de voir leur propre histoire raconter ?
