Abstract: The present investigation is made up of two studies. Study 1 has as general objectives (1) to know the prevalence of the risk of psychopathology in adolescents, (2) to analyze the levels of subjective well-being and risk of psychopathology of adolescents according to sex and (3) to identify the areas of well-being subjective that are related to the risk of general psychopathology of male and female adolescents. The general objective of Study 2 is to determine to what degree the relationship between levels of psychopathology and academic performance (in the particular field of mathematics), is mediated by the implicit theories of intelligence and academic self-efficacy. The overall objective of the research is to propose a feasible compression framework for the phenomenon that encompasses adolescent mental health and academic performance. The research was carried out in Chile and has a non-experimental, quantitative cross-sectional design. A two-stage and random sample design was considered. El Estudio 2 tiene como objetivo general determinar en qué grado la relación entre los niveles de psicopatología y el desempeño académico (en el campo particular de las matemáticas), está mediada por las teorías implícitas de la ...
