      Acoustics of italian opera houses is a precious cultural heritage, worthy of study to preserved it. This attitude is very important to avoid its loss and to hand down to the next generation. The aim of the thesis is to provide a method and an investigation tool for the study and the cataloguing of historical theatre acoustic features so as to build up an effective support, at planning stage, for restoration and redevelopment.
