Das Gebiet ist mehr als 60 ha groß. Landwirtschaftliche Tätigkeiten und Gartenarbeiten sind hier typisch. Doch die Lage bietet noch viel mehr: die Alte Donau in der Nähe und die Grünflächen bieten einen Standort mit hoher Lebensqualität. Wien weist ein rapides Bevölkerungswachstum auf. Es gibt einen Mangel an erschwingliche Wohnungen in guter Lage und mit einer guten Verkehrsanbindung. So erscheint die städtebauliche Entwicklung des Donaufeldes zur Lösung dieses Problems beitragen zu können. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist, ein neues urbanes Quartier mit hoher Qualität, leistbaren Wohnungen und Arbeitsplätzen zu entwickeln. ; The Donaufeld is a huge field in Vienna, which is located in the southern part of the 21th district of Floridsdorf. The area is more than 60 ha. Nowadays agricultural activities and gardening works are typical here. However the location offers much more: the nearby Alte Donau and the green areas provide a liveable and comfortable urban spot. What is more, the opportunities for using public transport are very variable right now, but in the future the area has even more developable potential. The population of Vienna is in a very fast growth. There is a lack of liveable, affordable apartments with good transport connections. So the urban development of the Donaufeld offers a very good solution for this problem. My goal with this work is to offer an idea for Vienna of a new quartier for high quality, but affordable living with workplaces. ; 110
