    • Abstract:
      This article seeks to highlight, through statistical data, the Brazilian reality regarding aspects of Financial Education, as well as presenting the contributions that the school environment can provide for children and young people in the search for quality information regarding the topic. The notes were mainly based on the determinations of the Base Nacional Comum Curricular [National Common Curricular Base]. It was concluded that the population needs actions that promote Financial Education in a way that is applied to reality and that educational institutions are one of the main sources of knowledge for this purpose. However, investment in teacher training and the development of quality teaching materials for the study of Financial Education in schools is necessary. ; Este artículo busca resaltar, a través de datos estadísticos, la realidad brasileña en aspectos de Educación Financiera, así como presentar las contribuciones que el ambiente escolar puede brindar a niños y jóvenes en la búsqueda de información de calidad sobre el tema. Las notas se basaron principalmente en las determinaciones de la Base Nacional Comum Curricular [Base Curricular Común Nacional]. Se concluyó que la población necesita acciones que promuevan la Educación Financiera de manera aplicada a la realidad y que las instituciones educativas son una de las principales fuentes de conocimiento para este fin. Sin embargo, es necesaria la inversión en la formación del profesorado y el desarrollo de materiales didácticos de calidad para el estudio de la Educación Financiera en las escuelas. ; O presente artigo busca destacar, com dados estatísticos, a realidade brasileira perante aspectos da Educação Financeira, assim como, apresentar as contribuições que o ambiente escolar pode proporcionar para as crianças e jovens na procura por informações de qualidade referentes à temática.
