    • Abstract:
      Chicken manure and rice husk ash applied to ultisol soil can reduce limiting factors in ultisol soil both physically, chemically, and biologically to increase the productivity of cayenne pepper. The research aims to determine the best interaction between doses of chicken manure and rice husk ash in increasing the growth and yield of cayenne pepper on ultisol soil. The research method uses a completely randomized factorial design, namely chicken manure treatment with three levels (20, 30, and 40 tons ha-1) and rice husk ash treatment with three levels (15, 20, and 25 tons ha-1). The results of the research show that the interaction of 20 tons ha-1 of chicken manure and 20 tons ha-1 of rice husk ash is an efficient treatment in increasing the best growth and yield of cayenne pepper on ultisol soil based on the variables of number of branches and fruit weight per plant.Keywords: cayenne pepper production, chicken manure, rice husk ash, ultisol soil INRISARIPupuk kandang ayam dan abu sekam padi yang diaplikasikan pada tanah ultisol memiliki kemampuan dalam menurunkan faktor pembatas pada tanah ultisol baik secara fisik, kimia, dan biologi sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas cabai rawit. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui interaksi terbaik dari dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan abu sekam padi dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai rawit pada tanah ultisol. Metode penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial yaitu perlakuan pupuk kandang ayam dengan 3 taraf (20, 30, dan 40 ton ha-1) serta perlakuan abu sekam padi dengan 3 taraf (15, 20, dan 25 ton ha-1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi pupuk kandang ayam 20 ton ha-1 dan abu sekam padi 20 ton ha-1 merupakan perlakuan yang efisien dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai rawit terbaik pada tanah ultisol berdasarkan variabel jumlah cabang dan berat buah per tanaman.Kata Kunci: abu sekam padi, produksi cabai rawit, pupuk kandang ayam, tanah ultisol
