The paper analyzes employee recruitment and motivation processes in Lithuanian businesses, comparing start-ups and established organizations. The theoretical part discusses recruitment strategies, motivation theories, financial and non-financial motivation tools, and the importance of employer image. The empirical part presents a quantitative study that evaluates motivational factors and their differences between types of organizations. The results of the study show that startup employees are more favorable toward aspects of organizational culture and internal motivation, while mature companies are more valued for learning opportunities, fairness, and external incentives. The paper presents conclusions and recommendations to help improve recruitment and motivation processes in different organizations.
