    • Abstract:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is dedicated to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. Established in 1966, it is owned by 68 members—49 from the region—who have committed $296.28 billion in loans to the vision of a region free of poverty. Despite the region’s successes, issues that remain to be addressed include poverty and inequality, climate change, growing environmental pressures, and large infrastructure deficits. Luxembourg has contributed $499.48 million in capital subscription as of 31 December 2019. It has contributed and committed $79.91 million to Special Funds since joining in 2003. Companies and consultants have since gained a total of $63.72 million in procurement contracts involving goods and services originating from Luxembourg on ADB-financed projects.
