Abstract: Law 10.639/2003 instituted the teaching of Afro-Brazilian history and culture in primary and secondary schools, both official and private in Brazil. However, some universities do not offer this content in their degree courses, thus requiring training such as the “Course Knowing Africa and strengthening our identity”, promoted by Municipal Education Secretary (Semed)/Maceió, for teachers of the municipal network, in the period of October 20 to December 7, 2021. The purpose of this article is to report the experience of offering three classes of this course, in the hybrid and remote learning modality, with digital technologies. Methodologically, the experience is described, with the reaction of course participants and the pedagogical team; follows a qualitative approach, with participant observation; it is based on reports, on-site observations and final reports. The course made it possible to review the history, presenting the African continent and its historical and cultural diversity and highlighting Africanity in the state of Alagoas and also in the capital, Maceió. It is concluded that, in addition to enabling an expanded knowledge of the historical, cultural and linguistic diversity of the African heritage that makes up the Brazilian social formation, it also challenged everyone to learn to use technologies in pedagogical practices, showing that we can be Ubuntu even at a distance and in the most different spaces. ; La loi 10.639/2003 a institué au Brésil l’enseignement de l’histoire et de la culture afro-brésilienne dans les collèges et lycées, publiques ou privés.
