Estimación de la talla a partir de la longitud de la huella del pie ; Estimation of the size from the length of the footprint of the foot

El hallazgo de una huella plantar humana en el lugar donde se ha cometido un delito tiene un alto valor policial y médico forense, no solo identificativo a través de los dibujos que dejan las crestas papilares de la planta del pie, sino que además puede permitir estimar la talla del autor de esta. Se presenta un estudio sobre 50 individuos españoles, caucasoides, en los que a partir de la longitud de sus huellas plantares se han obtenido ecuaciones de regresión para estimar su talla. Se han elaborado ecuaciones de regresión para hombres, mujeres y ambos sexos. ; The discovery of a human footprint in the place where a crime has been committed has a high police and forensic medical value, not only identifying through the drawings left by the papillary ridges on the sole of the foot, but also can allow estimating the size of the author of this. Astudy on 50 Spanish, caucasoid individuals is presented, in which regression equations have been obtained from the length of their footprints to estimate their size. Regression equations have been developed for men, women and both sexes.
