Vaca Muerta and a Good Environment Condition: Obligations of the Argentine State towards the Advisory Opinion OC.23 / 17 of the IACHR ; Vaca Muerta y medio ambiente sano: obligaciones del Estado Argentino a la luz de la Opinión Consultiva OC.23/17 de la CIDH

This proposal aims to assess whether the exploitation of Vaca Muerta, one of the world's largest oil and gas fields, meets the obligation of environmental protection and the realization of other human rights –within the interdependence relationship and indivisibility that exists between them– especially the right to life and personal integrity of people, respecting and guaranteeing the obligations postulated by the Advisory Opinion OC-23/17 of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR). ; Esta propuesta pretende evaluar si la explotación de Vaca Muerta, uno de los yacimientos más grandes del mundo en petróleo y gas Shale, cumple con la obligación de protección del medio ambiente y la realización de los otros derechos humanos –dentro de la relación de interdependencia e indivisibilidad que existe entre ellos– en especial el derecho a la vida y a la integridad personal de las personas, respetando y garantizando las obligaciones postuladas por la Opinión consultiva OC-23/17 de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH).
