Abstract: The world has undergone significant changes since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, these have mostly affected the educational sector, whether they are students and teachers, the latter have perceived a decrease in the quality of life when facing various challenges related to the use information and telecommunications technologies to work effectively virtually. Thus, a comparative study of the quality of work life and the effects of COVID-19 was carried out among professors from universities in the states of Sonora and Sinaloa. To carry out this quantitative exploratory study, a validated instrument was applied that allowed evaluating the dimensions of quality of life, quality of work life, organizational management and organizational development of 371 workers from both universities, finding similar results in both universities in the variables analyzed and in conclusion, these dimensions are perceived in a high level in both institutions, with the exception of quality of life, which is at a medium level, also slight differences were found depending on the age and level of study of the participants. ; El mundo ha sufrido cambios significativos desde el inicio de la pandemia por COVID-19, los cuales han afectado mayormente al sector educativo, y ya se trate de estudiantes o de profesores, los últimos han percibido una disminución en la calidad de vida, al enfrentarse a diversos retos referentes al uso de las tecnologías de información y telecomunicaciones para trabajar eficazmente de manera virtual. En tal escenario, se realizó un estudio comparativo de la calidad de vida laboral y los efectos de COVID-19 en docentes de universidades de los estados de Sonora y Sinaloa.
