Resistensi Terbuka International Freedom Battalion (IFB) terhadap ISIS di Suriah

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui resistensi gerakan International Freedom Battalion (IFB) terhadap Islamic State of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS) di Suriah. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitik dan kerangka konsep gerakan sosial dan resistensi dapat diidentifikasi dan dijelaskan bentuk-bentuk resistensi yang dilakukan IFB terhadap ISIS yang melakukan dominasi di Suriah. Penulis menemukan adanya resistensi IFB terhadap ISIS dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan tiga dominasi yang dilakukan ISIS, yaitu dominasi material, dominasi status, dan dominasi ideologi. Tindakan resistensi IFB meliputi dua elemen di dalamnya, yaitu action dan opposition. Action dari tindakan resistensi IFB berupa serangkaian aksi militer pada 2015-2017 terhadap tiga dominasi ISIS. Sementara opposition dari tindakan resistensi IFB meliputi perlawanan terhadap okupasi wilayah yang dilakukan ISIS, perlawanan terhadap cap takfiri ISIS, dan perlawanan terhadap ideologi fasisme gaya baru ISIS demi mempertahankan Revolusi Rojava. ; This article aims to find out the resistance of the International Freedom Battalion (IFB) movement against Islamic State of Iraq and Suriah (ISIS) in Syria. Through qualitative research methods with an analytical descriptive approach, and also the conceptual framework of social movements and resistance, can be identified and explained the forms of actions carried out by IFB to resist ISIS domination in Syria. The author found that the existence of IFB resistance to ISIS was motivated by the existence of three dominations carried out by ISIS, namely material domination, status domination, and ideological domination. IFB resistance measures include two elements in it, namely action and opposition.
