Abstract: Introduction: The Home Enteral Nutritional Therapy (HENT) aims to maintain and/or recover the patient's nutritional status, bring benefits of family and social life, reduce the risk of hospital infections and hospitalization costs. Objective: To evaluate the nutritional, socioeconomic and demographic profile of patients in HENT in the city of Varginha-MG who are monitored by primary care teams of the Unified Health System, in addition to identifying the user's clinical profile. Materials and Methods: Subjective Global Nutritional Assessment was used to collect information on nutritional status. Anthropometric measurements such as arm circumference, calf circumference, knee height and triceps skinfold thickness were taken and weight and height estimates were made. Questionnaires were also used to assess the patient's clinical and pathological history and in relation to the type of enteral nutrition offered and socioeconomic profile. For statistical analysis, Pearson's correlation test was performed using SPSS software version 20.0. Results: It was found that 68.1% of patients were well nourished, 40.9% belonged to socioeconomic class C and the most prevalent underlying diseases that led to the use of therapy were neurological. The predominant access route was gastrostomy with 59.1%, the main diet used is industrialized and the average time of use of HENT among respondents was 3 years and 6 months. No correlations with nutritional status were identified. Conclusion: Patients in HENT in Varginha - MG predominantly use industrialized diets via gastrostomy. Edema and/or metabolic stress was not identified by the physical examination performed by the ANSG, characterizing good nutritional status of those evaluated.
