    • Abstract:
The paper addresses the fundamental issues of theory, methodology, and practice in cultivating color perception as an essential component of professionalism among visual arts practitioners – artists and educators. Based on the analysis of works by scholars such as O. Bobyr, L. Gorbatenko, O. Kapran, I. Melnychuk, O. Muzyka, T. Panyok, V. Chervatyuk, Z. Shokirova, and A. Yalansky, it is concluded that color perception is a professionally significant personal ability that is cultivated through pedagogical means in the process of artistic education. Olszewski, among others) artist-educators to the study of certain aspects of color theory is characterized. The specifics of practical implementation by Ukrainian artists of the results of their color studies in the process of professional artistic education in institutions in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv, and Kremenets are revealed: 1) close integration of color theory mastery with practical tasks; 2) the structural peculiarity of organizing the educational process, which was based on the activities of autonomous studios of individual professors. The focus is on one of the key tasks of professional ...
