    • Abstract:
      Understanding the factors that shape the perception of danger in human-robot interaction (HRI) is essential for designing robots that people can both trust and work with safely. Perceived danger may not always align with actual danger; for instance, purely decorative elements, such as anthropomorphic framing, could create an illusion of greater transparency, potentially reducing perceived danger while not impacting actual risk. However, this potential effect has yet to be investigated. For this study we plan to utilize the Perceived Danger (PD) scale presented in Molan et al., 2025 to analyze the effect of anthropomorphic framing on PD. We expect to find a mediation effects of Perceived Transparency (scale of the MTQ, Roesler et al., 2023) on the relationship between anthropomorphic framing and PD. In addition we investigate the effect of anthropomorphic framing on Perceived Agency (Trafton et al., 2024). ...
