    • Abstract:
      This study seeks to analyze how mathematical investigation can contribute to the integral education of students in integrated technical high schools within the context of financial education, through the implementation of a didactic sequence. The research, employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods approach, was conducted in a school in the state of Mato Grosso, with two classes organized into an Experimental Group (EG) and a Control Group (CG). The pedagogical intervention included a didactic sequence focused on financial planning, using the theme “Planning for the purchase of a cell phone.” The EG applied concepts of mathematical investigation to personal financial management, while the CG followed traditional teaching. The qualitative results revealed greater engagement, critical reflection, and connection with real-life situations in the EG, while the quantitative results, obtained through pre- and post-test questionnaires, indicated significant progress in the EG across all evaluated aspects: planning and self-control, habits and values, and knowledge and choices. This study reinforces the relevance of active pedagogical strategies connected to real-life contexts to promote financial literacy and the integral education of students. ; El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar cómo la investigación matemática puede contribuir a la formación integral de los estudiantes de la educación técnica integrada a la educación secundaria en el contexto de la educación financiera, mediante la implementación de una secuencia didáctica.
