    • Abstract:
The house has a steep, sloping roof with parrots and ravens on it, and an open porch on three sides. Consider how the high roof and open sides provided good shelter from the hot sun and dry heat of that area. But what about during a windy day or rainstorm? In ancient times, like today, people in Nayarit may have attached textile (woven fabric) walls to close the house during chilly weather.
