Protestan iş ahlakına karşı İslam iş ahlakı ; Islamic work ethics against protestant work ethics

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Üniversitesi, İşletme Bölümü, Türkiye. ; Bu çalışma Max Weber’in “Protestan Ahlakı ve Kapitalizmin Ruhu” adlı eserinden yola çıkarak İslam iş ahlakının kodlarının ortaya çıkarılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada İslam iş ahlakı kodları tespitinde Kur’an’ın belirlediği esaslar temel almıştır. Çalışmada; üretmek, mülkiyet, sınıflar, israf/tasarruf etmek, paylaşmak ve tüketim ile ilgili ahlaki kodlar karşılaştırmalı olarak açıklanmıştır. Çalışma tasarlanırken Weber’in Protestan iş ahlakına dair önermeleri ile Kur’an’da yer alan önermelerden yararlanılmıştır. İktisadi gelişmenin sebebinin Protestan ahlak olmadığı, benzer ve hatta daha üstün önermelerin İslam’da yer aldığı sonucuna varılmıştır. İslam’ın iktisadi gelişmeyi engellemediği sonucuna varılıp İslam toplumlarına iktisadi gelişme, kalkınma ve sosyal refaha dair öneriler getirilmiştir. ; This study aims to reveal the codes of Islamic work ethic based on Max Weber's articles “The Protestant Ethics and the Spirit of Capitalism”. In this study, determination of the codes of Islamic work ethic is based on the principles of the Qur'an. In the study, codes of ethics related to production, ownership, classes, waste/saving, sharing and consumption are explained comparatively. Weber's Protestant work ethic and the Qur'anic propositions are used in the study. It has been found that the reason for economic development is not Protestant ethics and that similar and even superior propositions are available in Islam. It is concluded that Islam does not prevent economic development, and suggestions were made to Islamic societies for economic growth, development and social welfare.
