Abstract: E. Adaškevičienė and N. Strazdienė reveal (2013), that health promotion is a process which controls the conditions determining health and thus improves health. The performed analysis of scientific literature and documents allows one to presume that building of the children‘s health promotion competence in the preschool age is an important issue. This implies the scientific problem – what are the possibilities of building children‘s health promotion competences in preschool age: from the point of view of parents and teachers? The subject of the work – possibilities of building children‘s health promotion competences in preschool age. The purpose of the work is to analyse possibilities of building children‘s health promotion competences in preschool age: from the point of view of parents and teachers. Tasks of the work: 1. To reveal the notion of health promotion competence and the importance of healthy lifestyle. 2. To determine characteristics of preschool age children and their specific needs. 3. To analyse peculiarities of building health promotion competences in preschool age. 4. To assess the parents‘attitude towards possibilities of building health promotion competences in preschool age. 5. To assess the teachers‘ attitude towards possibilities of building health promotion competences in preschool age. Methods of work: analysis of scientific literature and documents; questionnaire survey (on the internet), statistic and quantitative analysis of the results. Analysis of scientific literature and documents revealed that health promotion is a multiaspect activity including a complex of measures, such as building of health competences, healthcare, creation of favorable psychosocial and physical environment. Healthy lifestyle in preschool age is especially important because it helps to remain healthy, safe and improves health.
