Entre a invisibilidade e a luta pela cidadania: um estudo sobre a realidade das mulheres em situação de rua e o acesso às políticas públicas ; Between invisibility and the struggle for citizenship: a study on the reality of women in situation of homelessness and access to public policies

This monographic study aims to analyze the reality of women experiencing homelessness in the Brazilian context and their access to public policies. It is a qualitative research conducted through bibliographic and documentary studies, using historical-dialectical materialism as a method, which is based on a critical understanding of reality. Through a literature review involving the study of scientific articles, journals, books, and electronically available materials, as well as a review of public policies, laws, technical notes, manuals, resolutions, and government reports, we address the Homeless Population as an issue inherent to the Capitalist Mode of Production and deeply rooted in the social question, which manifests itself in a complex manner influenced by gender, race, and class inequalities. Additionally, we discuss who makes up the referenced group and how the Brazilian state has historically treated this social segment, which suffers from repression, invisibility, and denial of rights. Finally, we delve into the experiences of women experiencing homelessness and the challenges they face in the absence of public policies, especially in the areas of social assistance and healthcare, all of which are associated with the inequalities expressed by a patriarchal, racist, and capitalist society. All of these issues converge towards the need for specific policies aimed at this social segment, taking into consideration the complex interactions between gender issues, patriarchal dynamics, racism, and capitalism.
