During the treatment of damaged teeth by caries, we often have to choose which treatment method it will be used: direct or indirect restorations. During the direct or indirect restorations of damaged teeth by caries, the dentist and the dentist’s assistant work as a team.In both cases, the doctor's dentist's assistant must know the stages of treatment, the tools used, the dental materials, and ensure the control of the infection, thus ensuring smooth teamwork and reducing the time of the procedure. The aim of work is: to analyse theassistance of dentist’s assistant in the treatment of uncomplicated carries. The objectives of work are: 4. To analyse the assistance of dentist’s assistant in restoring teeth during direct treatment. 5. To investigate the assistant's dental assistant's help in restoring teeth during indirect treatment. 6. To compare the dentist's assistant's assistance in restoring teeth during indirect and direct treatment. The research methods. A qualitative research: a case study and observation- was carried out in dentist room at JSC Šeimos klinika“Hiperika” from 29 September 2018 to 11 May 2018. It was analysed two clinical cases, chosen two patients which agreed to participate in and answered the aims of the research. On the basis of research, the main insights were got: while assisting during the treatment, the dentist’s assistant assures the procedure of professional documentation filling following the requirements of legal documents, assures the infection control in the work-place, prepares the required instruments and materials, works with a pumping system. In both cases, the treatment was begun from the cleaning and removal of cariogenic tissues, and after assessment of the cavities, their sizes, the defect was restored. In the first case, the defect was restored by the direct method: restoring the cavity with in the light-cured composite and the final finish is determined immediately.
