Problematika zaměstnávání vězňů ; The issue of prisoner employment

This thesis explores the issue of prisoner employment. The theoretical section provides an overview of the legal framework governing this area, encompassing statutory provisions, ministerial decrees of the Ministry of Justice, government regulations, and internal guidelines of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. At the outset, it outlines the employment of remand prisoners, followed by a more in-depth examination of the employment of convicted prisoners. The principal factors discussed include work assignment, employment status and conditions, remuneration, liability for damages, internal security measures, and various employment models for sentenced individuals. The empirical section of the thesis consists of two chapters. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical foundations of the research, defining the purpose of the study and the central research question. Its primary objective is to identify the factors contributing to the high employment rate in selected prisons and to determine whether any recurring patterns can be discerned. This section further presents the research methodology, data collection methods, transcription and data processing techniques, sample selection criteria, qualitative research approach, and data evaluation and interpretation methods. Teoretická část je zaměřena na předestření právní úpravy, která vychází ze zákonů, vyhlášek Ministerstva spravedlnosti, nařízení vlády a interních předpisů Vězeňské služby České republiky. Zprvu představuje zaměstnávání obviněných a následně, již více zevrubně, zaměstnávání odsouzených. V jednotlivých bodech je pozornost věnována zařazení do práce, pracovnímu postavení a podmínkám, odměňování, odpovědnosti za škodu, zajišťování vnitřní bezpečnosti a způsobům zaměstnávání odsouzených.
