Abstract: La historia cultural argentina constituye una zona de indagación híbrida y de fronteras epistemológicas difusas que se configuró a partir tanto de sensibilidades que antecedieron al giro cultural europeo como de lecturas heterodoxas, traducciones locales y adaptaciones críticas de la noción antropologizada de lo cultural. A diferencia de lo que ocurrió en el hemisferio norte, donde la New Cultural History se transformó en la aglutinadora de la actividad académica y terminó por eclipsar a la historia social, en la Argentina la historia cultural funcionó como un agregado más que como un reemplazo de otros modelos analíticos ; Argentine cultural history constitutes an area of hybrid inquiry with blurred epistemological boundaries that was shaped by both sensibilities that preceded the European cultural turn and heterodox readings, local translations and critical adaptations of the anthropological turn. Unlike what happened in the northern hemisphere, where the New Cultural History became the unifying element of academic activity and ended up eclipsing social history, in Argentina cultural history has functioned as an addition rather than a replacement for other analytical models. ; Fil: Bjerg, Maria Monica.
