El hexámetro de Dionisio el Periegeta, I = The Hexameter of Dionysius Periegetes, I.

En este artículo se estudia en profundidad el hexámetro de Dionisio el Periegeta, prestando especial atención al lugar que éste ocupa dentro del proceso evolutivo del hexámetro griego. Para ello se analizan y tabulan los datos de Dionisio y después se cotejan con los de otros autores, principalmente Homero (Ilíada y Odisea), los Himnos homéricos, Hesíodo, Arato, Apolonio de Rodas, Calímaco, Nicandro y Nono. En esta primera parte se han analizado el número de schemata, los esquemas de cabeza (los esquemas más utilizados), la concentración de los mismos, las secuancias de espondeos, y los porcentajes de espondeos y dáctilos por metro, así como sus cifras totales. ; This article examines in depth the hexameter of Dionysius Periegetes, paying particular attention to the place that this one occupies in the evolutionary process of the Greek hexameter. To that end, the data present in Dionysius are analyzed and tabulated, and then are compared with other authors, mainly Homer (Iliad and Odyssey), the Homeric Hymns, Hesiod, Aratus, Apollonius of Rhodes, Callimachus, Nicander and Nonnus. In this first part we have analyzed the number of schemata, the head schemes (the most used schemes), the schemes’ concentration, the spondees sequences, and the p ercentages of spondees and dactyls per meter, as well as their total numbers.
