    • Abstract:
; The aim of this paper was to investigate the predictors of secondary traumatization among social workers employed in Centres for Social Welfare in the Republic of Croatia. 106 social workers employed in different departments of the Centres for Social Welfare participated in the research. The results showed that secondary traumatization is present among social workers, and that there are differences in the level of anxiety, secondary traumatization, and the level of well-being between social workers who have experienced trauma compared to those who have not. As predictors of secondary traumatization, the working time spent dealing with the user's traumas and the level of personal self-care were indicated. Experienced trauma, level of resilience, professional self-care and perceived social support did not appear as predictors of secondary traumatization in this research.
