    • Abstract:
The Covid-19 pandemic restricted access to traditional methods of pedagogical learning. A qualitative study identified that student nurses experienced challenges specifically around relationships, learning, emotions, and safety versus risks. They navigated new routines and ways of learning and, after adapting to change, eventually reached understanding and acceptance. Students reported experiencing positive and negative aspects of both online and face-to-face learning; the study concluded that the principles of effective learning design remain consistent for both types of pedagogy, and a blended approach to learning could benefit nursing education.
