A disciplina de Educação Física na Escola Técnica Federal de Pelotas: práticas pedagógicas e memórias de professores (1973-1996) ; The Discipline of Physical Education in Technical School Federal de Pelotas: Pedagogical practices and teachers' memories (1973-1996)

This work is in the context of the History of School Subjects, which is part of the broader field of the History of Education. This research aimed to investigate the pedagogical practices of physical education teachers at the Federal Technical School of Pelotas (ETFPel) between the years 1973 and 1996. This work was based on memories of eleven teachers, teaching programs and the legal provisions of the period. The concept of habitus was employed to explain the modus operandi of these teachers and the School Culture as a category of analysis. From the collected data, we found that the school culture in the pedagogical practice of teachers, on that period, showed two distinct periods, the first from 1973 to 1985, focusing on the development of physical fitness, and second, from 1985 to 1996, for the development of sports skills. Another relevant finding indicated that the discussions about the paradigm shift in physical education, promoted in academia, were perceived by some teachers, but there was no significant change in pedagogical practice developed in ETFPel. ; Sem bolsa ; Este trabalho está inserido no campo de pesquisa da História das Disciplinas Escolares, que faz parte de um campo mais amplo, o da História da Educação. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo investigar as práticas pedagógicas dos professores de educação física da Escola Técnica Federal de Pelotas (ETFPel) entre os anos de 1973 e 1996. Foram utilizadas como fontes as memórias de onze professores, também foram consultados programas de ensino da disciplina e os dispositivos legais do período. Foi empregado o conceito de habitus para explicar o modus operandi destes professores e a Cultura Escolar como categoria de análise.
