Abstract: International audience ; Temporary urban planning is the art of making the city in a different way, by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by places on hold or undergoing change. It's about investing or transforming them temporarily, before an urban project redevelops them definitively.Temporary urban planning can have a variety of objectives, such as exploring new spatial and functional possibilities, anticipating and involving residents in the future city, responding to unsatisfied or urgent social, cultural or economic demands, enhancing existing heritage, and energizing and enlivening changing neighborhoods. In examining the advantages and limitations of temporary urbanism in terms of flexibility, creativity, participation and sustainable urban development, we will draw on concrete examples of temporary urbanism in Tunisia, based on the discourse of event organizers, public decision-makers and participants. We will use Textmining software, in particular analyzing these text corpora to highlight trends and opinions through NLP (Natural - Language - Processing) algorithms. The article looks at temporary urbanism as a means of flexibility and urban creativity, presenting some events in the city of Djerba. We focus on analyzing the discourse of decision-makers and event organizers (cultural, festive, tourist, etc.) to understand the nature of participation and urban diversity, presenting examples of consultation with residents and users. Our aim is to grasp the advantages and disadvantages through a statistical and semantic approach using Textmining, in order to understand the contributions and limitations of temporary urbanism as a new paradigm for the spatiotemporal dynamics of cities, and to suggest ways of improving it.
