    • Abstract:
      This study aims to determine whether work motivation and career development have a simultaneous effect on employee performance, work motivation has a partial effect on employee performance, career development has a partial effect on employee performance in the National Road Implementation Work Unit Region I, East Java Province and also which variable the most dominant influence on the dependent variable (employee performance). This study used quantitative research with descriptive data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis. This analysis is used to measure the independent effect of work motivation and career development on the dependent variable, namely employee performance with the help of SPSS Version 26.0 software. Total population of 35 employees. Respondents in this study were all employees of the Work Unit for Implementation of National Roads Region I, East Java Province. Determination of the sample using a saturated sample technique which takes the entire existing population. Data collection techniques by giving questionnaires to respondents, and the literature method. The test results show: 1) the variables of work motivation and career development have a positive and significant simultaneous effect on employee performance. 2) the variable of work motivation has a partial positive and significant effect on employee performance. 3) career development variables have a partial positive and significant effect on employee performance 4) the dominant variable influencing employee performance is career development variable.
