    • Abstract:
      This article presents the meanings of schooling for students in Ceará enrolled in a full-time school in the first year of implementation of the Secondary Education Reform. This research is carried out within the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Scientific Initiation in High School (PIBIC/EM), of the case study type, with a qualitative approach and use of focus group and survey techniques. The results show that the meaning of schooling is related to the expectation of what its completion can provide, whether a future job or admission to university; sociability with other young people is a strong factor to ensure that students remain in school; and experience in full-time educational institutions is not without contrariety, even among students who consider themselves adjusted to the new school journey. ; Este artículo presenta los sentidos de la escolarización para jóvenes cearenses matriculados en una escuela de tiempo completo en el primer año de implementación de la Reforma del la Licenciatura. Se trata de una investigación realizada en el marco del Programa Institucional de Becas de Iniciación Investigativa para la Educación Secundaria (PIBIC/EM), de tipo estudio de caso, con enfoque cualitativo y utilización de técnicas de grupo focal y encuesta. Los resultados muestran que el sentido de la escolarización está relacionado con la expectativa de lo que la conclusión de la educación secundaria puede proporcionar, ya sea un empleo futuro o el ingreso a la universidad; la sociabilidad con otros jóvenes es un fuerte factor para garantizar la permanencia de los estudiantes en la escuela; y la experiencia en las instituciones educativas de tiempo completo no está exenta de contradicciones, incluso entre aquellos estudiantes que se consideran adaptados a la nueva jornada escolar. ; Este artigo apresenta os sentidos da escolarização para jovens cearenses matriculados em uma escola de tempo integral no primeiro ano de implementação da Reforma do Ensino Médio.
