Abstract: This meta-analysis aims to systematically evaluate and quantify the differences between sign-trackers and goal-trackers across various psychological and behavioral constructs. By synthesizing findings from existing studies, the analysis will assess the consistency and magnitude of these differences while examining potential sources of heterogeneity, such as variations in measurement tools, experimental paradigms, and sample characteristics. The findings will provide a clearer understanding of the robustness of reported effects and the factors influencing individual differences in sign-tracking and goal-tracking tendencies.
