Abstract: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity is excess body fat, in an amount that causes damage to health. A person is considered obese when their Body Mass Index (BMI) is greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2 and the normal weight range varies between 18.5 and 24.9 kg/m2. (World Health Organization). In Brazil, in 2019, one in four people aged 18 or over was obese, equivalent to 41 million people (IBGE). Which demonstrates an urgent need for food reeducation, sports practices or in case of health problems, the search for a professional. The health professional, in cases where the patient cannot lose weight in conventional ways, may choose to perform bariatric surgery. Due to the large accumulation of information and details present in this exam, we seek to develop a prototype of a mobile interface that will monitor the pre- and post-operative process of patients and doctors. Since at the University Hospital of the city of Uberlândia, it was necessary to organize the information related to this type of surgery, which were being stored in pen and paper, this prototype aims to monitor the progress of the patient's bariatric surgery process, being able to verify appointments, view exam status (scheduled, unscheduled), search for guidelines related to the pre and post surgical process, in addition to exchanging information with health professionals in the area. During the work development process, we sought to meet with the nursing sector of the Hospital Das Clinicas de Uberlândia to understand the real needs of the reported problem. A literature search was carried out in order to know the existing applications in the area to understand operating patterns, visual strategies used and even functionalities in the case of an application implementation.
