Abstract: Paediatric spine deformity surgery is a high-stakes procedure. It demands the surgeon to have exceptional anatomical knowledge and precise visuospatial awareness. There is increasing demand for precision medicine, which rapid advancements in computational technologies have made possible with the recent explosion of AI and machine learning (ML). We present the surgical and ethical applications of AI and ML in diagnosis, prognosis, image processing, and outcomes in the field of paediatric spine deformity.
