    • Abstract:
The aim of this study is to analyze the means of entrepreneurial learning that enable the development of entrepreneurial competencies among women active in the informal economy, considering that women's entrepreneurship in this context goes beyond merely idealizing the challenges these women face. The study seeks, through the analysis of their experiences, to understand how they develop essential entrepreneurial competencies for the survival and growth of their businesses in a resource-constrained environment. The theoretical framework of the study is based on four theories, with a focus on the entrepreneurial learning models proposed by Politis, Rae, and Man, as well as the entrepreneurial competencies model of Man and Lau. The study adopts a qualitative and descriptive approach, with data collection conducted through semi-structured interviews with women entrepreneurs in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The results highlight the emergence of critical competencies such as creativity, communication, and technical skills. Among the learning methods, the importance of practice, experimentation, and active pursuit of knowledge stands out. The research also reveals the significant role of family support, which varies according to the financial dependence of the business. Finally, this investigation contributes to a deeper understanding of women's entrepreneurship in the informal economy and emphasizes the need for policies that recognize and value these efforts, considering the complexities and challenges faced by these women.
