    • Abstract:
The rapid growth of the electronics industry has led to an increase in electronic waste (e-waste), posing significant environmental and health risks. Recycling of electronic waste and the formulation of environmental friendly electronic manufacturing processes can help overcome these risks. This scientometric study is intended to synthesize the development of the research in recycling of e-waste as well as the green manufacturing of electronics products by assessing the healthcare of recording quantity, trend, and effect of publications for the past several decades, this aims to map out the main topics, authors, and journals in the research area through bibliometric methods. Focused on types of e-waste and their collection and disposal systems, the study reveals the transition from past crude form of disposal to more advanced technologies of recycling electronic gadgets and the need to employ the principles of circular economy to curb e-waste. Moreover, it discusses the growing focus on environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes, such as eco-design, energy-efficient production, and the use of non-toxic materials. It identifies the growth directions that include business policy structures, customers, e- waste and green manufacturing using information technology like artificial intelligence and blockchain. The study provides valuable insights into future research directions and the role of innovation in achieving sustainable electronic production and recycling practices.
