    • Abstract:
With the increase in the production of "green" energy in the world, that trend has also arrived in Serbia, so "WPP Crni vrh" is a high-capacity wind power plant where electricity will be produced and delivered to end consumers via the planned transmission lines, which will increase the reliability and security in suppling electricity to consumers in the territory of the municipalities of Žagubica and Majdanpek and the city of Bor. When designing a wind power plant, it is very important to determine the geomechanical structure of the terrain, which determines the method of foundation (shallow or deep) of the wind turbine. Due to the high height of the column (125 m), the effect of wind is the dominant load on wind turbines. Due to its stochastic nature, as well as due to the frequent absence of a primary direction of action, the foundation rates are intended to be circular for the largest number of wind turbine positions. In addition, the circular shape is significantly more practical from the point of view of execution, and generally superior from the aspect of behavior (performance). In two locations, due to the combination of the relatively unfavorable position of the wind turbine in relation to the slope of the slope, the stratigraphy of the terrain and the geotechnical characteristics of the lithological layers represented, the solution of deep foundations on "standing" piles was adopted. The paper shows the way of presenting the results of geological, geomorphological, engineering geological and geomechanical laboratory tests, using the example of the selected location of the TI-12 wind turbine within the "wind power plant "Crni vrh.
