      Abstract Background This study was designed to probe into the effect of cisplatin combined with capecitabine on nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods A total of 136 NPC patients treated for the first time in our hospital from January 2016 to March 2017 were collected and divided into two groups: A and B. Among them, 66 in group A were treated with cisplatin intravenous drip, while 70 in group B were treated with capecitabine on the basis of group A.
