    • Abstract:
      The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has been noticeable in recent years. Along with this development, the question of how AI should be used in the classroom has become an increasingly debated topic. This paper focuses on how AI can be used in a classroom environment in Swedish elementary schools, with a particular emphasis on writing. Are there downsides using AI in classroom, or does it have the potential to enhance students’ writing skills? This study discusses the competencies students are expected to have after completing elementary school and examines how AI is currently being used in education. The outcome of the paper is a set of different assignment that teachers can use in the classroom to integrate AI into teaching. These asignments are intended to support students improving their writing skills through the use of AI.
