      The article reflects on announcement of U.S. Congress' Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on the intention of the Democrats to suspend the required 90-day rule to vote for the U.S.-Colombia free-trade pact. He questioned on why would other countries enter into trade agreements with the U.S. if the Democrats is changing the time-honored, good-faith rules in midstream. An overview on the effects of implementation of the agreements to the agricultural industries on both countries is discussed.
