      The article discusses the observations of the Committee on Freedom of Association with regard to the complaints of trade unions in Colombia. The registration of a trade union is denied by the Ministry of Social Protection that is followed by the dismissal of the officers and 80 percent of the members. The refusal to register Maria Gilma Barahona Roa as national controller and her dismissal is part of a decision to liquidate the National Local Road Fund.
