    • Abstract:
Chapter 14 of the book "Philosophical Perspectives on the "War on Terrorism"" is presented. It focuses on U.S. anti-terror activities in Colombia. The author analyzes the morality of the U.S. war in Iraq. He suggests that power politics, not ethical considerations, underlies the U.S. paramilitary operations in Colombia in the guise of a war on drugs. He traces the continued fighting there to poverty and exploitation of resources by multinational companies and suggests encouraging alternative crops and training an effective police force as solutions.
